MSc Microbiology graduate exploring the frontiers of
Aspiring PhD researcher passionate about decoding the language of DNA to solve real-world challenges.
About Me
I am a Microbiology MSc graduate with a deep fascination for the molecular machinery that governs life. My academic journey has taken me from classical microbiology to the cutting-edge tools of genetic engineering, where I discovered my passion for understanding and manipulating the genetic code.
Currently preparing for a PhD programme, my research interests lie at the intersection of CRISPR gene-editing technologies, microbial genetics, and synthetic biology. I believe that the next generation of breakthroughs in medicine and agriculture will emerge from our ability to precisely read, write, and edit the language of DNA.

Research & Projects
A selection of research projects I have contributed to during my MSc programme.
Investigated the efficiency of CRISPR-Cas9 mediated knockout of antibiotic resistance genes in Escherichia coli K-12 strains, achieving a 94% editing efficiency using optimised guide RNA sequences.
Conducted comprehensive metagenomic analysis of soil microbiomes to map the distribution and prevalence of antibiotic resistance genes across agricultural and urban environments.
Characterised biofilm formation mechanisms in Pseudomonas aeruginosa under varying nutrient conditions, identifying key quorum-sensing molecules.
